How We Got Started
We are a family-owned business that was started by Ken & Connie in 1998 with one small greenhouse to use as a hobby to grow their own plants. People from the community started to show an interest in what they were doing and that sparked the hobby turning into what is now Hilltop Gardens & Greenhouses (HTG).
They went to work building all of the greenhouses and renovating buildings on the current property to accommodate the growing business. Over the years, the daughters and their families have helped build what today is 10 greenhouses with over 30,000 square feet under cover.
Some of Our Specialties
We grow over 700 varieties of annuals, a large selection of perennials, vegetable plants and native wildflowers.
We specialize in combination hanging baskets and patio container baskets and on opening day you can find as many as 5,000 to choose from in our greenhouses.
We also offer a variety of seeds, gardening accessories including gloves, birdfeeders, gardening tools, watering attachments, fertilizers, potting soil, iron garden decor, planters of many kinds and much more with new items arriving every spring.
We’re a Garden Center Source
We have established relationships with many garden centers and greenhouses for which we provide annuals, vegetables, perennials, hanging baskets, and patio containers.
Take a short drive and come straight to the growing center, see where other garden centers are buying their plants.
Native Wildflowers
We’re ready to help you with any of your native wildflower needs. We have been growing native flowers since the beginning of our business and have grown most every variety.
These plants require much different handling and growing practices than the normal hybridized annuals most greenhouses produce.
If you’re looking for an extremely different landscape than your neighbor think about planting some native wildflowers.
